The Everglades Cup, Florida's exclusive premier motocross event. At its heart lies the coveted Championship Ring, Award Cup and #1 Championship plate. Across the United States, this prestigious title of the Ring Holder is a symbol of excellence and achievement. Riders who secure positions 2-9 earn the right to single-digit number plates, each a mark of their competitive prowess. These distinctive plates grant riders recognition and prestige throughout the year at many events.

All gate picks are determined by your qualifying time at the Qualifier events and your finish position at those events, determine the gate picks for the Championship.


Example: Gate picks at the Qualifying events are chosen from the riders with the fastest lap time.


Gate picks at the Championship are determined by finishing order at the Qualifiers; First place at the first Qualifier event gets pick #1, first place at the second Qualifier event gets pick #2, and so-on.

Second place at the first Qualifier event, gets pick #6, second place at the second Qualifier event gets pick #7, etc.

Red Plates at the Championship

Racers at the Championship who have placed first in an area qualifier, must ride with a red front plate. Each rider will get announced with a three sentence bio that will be read by the announcer, prior to taking their place at the gate before the first moto. They may do a short ride out while the announcement is being made.

Red Plates at the Championship

Supermini and Mini Sr.

  

  • Yellow Flag. Indicates      a downed rider or other situation to raise caution. A rider may NOT JUMP or PASS between the yellow flag and the incident and must show      caution. 


  • Red Cross Flag and/or Flashing Safety Lights. Indicates an injured rider and/or medics on the      track, or a dangerous situation on the track in an area of limited visibility. Riders must proceed with caution, hold their position and cannot jump or pass between the flag and the incident. Wheels must stay on the ground until after the incident.


  • Green Flag. Given at the completion of lap one to indicate that the race is “on”.


  • White Flag.  One lap to go until the finish. (Courtesy flag)


  • Checkered Flag.  End of race.


  • Blue Flag. Indicates a rider is about to be lapped. Lapped riders should hold their line and not interfere with the progress of the faster rider(s). A Blue Flag can be given anywhere along the racecourse.


  • Red Flag. Indicates the race has been stopped. Riders must return to their original start gate position to await further instruction.

At Everglades Cup, we are committed to bringing new riders into the sport of Motocross. We have specific classes for those who are new to racing. We encourage beginners and novice riders to participate and will happily guide you through if you let us know. 

We are very strict on safety and the track will be altered for the smaller bikes and Novice classes.
